Re: ETS2 real automatic. OK, I've come to the conclusion that I can"t use my steering wheel to shift up or down. I have to use my keyboard for real automatic. I don't know if the issue is my logictech G29 steering wheel or it happens with all steering wheels. Set by phpBB, used for the "remember me" option. Set by phpBB to identify user sessions.
Realistic Shifting Option. #1 by dpatt711 ยป 02 Apr 2016 15:52. So currently ATS and ETS2 lets you dump it into whatever gear you want whenever you want, like a car. However in real life you have to match RPMs. Let's use a 10 speed for the example. Im in 8th gear, at 1500rpm. If I want to go to 9th, I will have to shift to neutral, let RPMs
No doubt among owner operators, but those OO's that choose manual are becoming a smaller and smaller segment. Among fleet operations manuals would be very rare. I think somewhere around 75% of new American truck production uses automated transmissions. Last edited by Sandhill ; Apr 18, 2021 @ 1:32pm.
Gearbox types automatic selection. I think gearbox type (ie automatic or h-shifter) should be set by game automatically, depending what gearbox is used in the current truck. Maybe "simple automatic" and "sequencial" can be even removed completely. ATS is a simulator game, and in reality there is no such transmission types. Those are arcade things.
Jaimie Michael Aug 13, 2017 @ 11:55am. Glossary of Game Play Settings explained. Gearbox type - You can change your gearbox type here. It has been described above. Fatigue simulation - after turning this option off your character will not need to sleep and will not feel tired. Steering autocenter - Option available only for steering wheels and
. It should work by pressing a key (for example "m") to switch between either simple automatic or real automatic (a gameplay option "Default Automatic Transmission Mode: Simple or Real" should do nicely) and the sequential gearbox. This should NOT shift it down to neutral like what switching does at the moment. To my knowledge, most modern truck
With more gears, you can have best torque/power all the time, as you are capable to keep engine on best revs all the time. So, 6 gear gearbox will be good, when not planning to carry heavy stuff, on flat surfaces. It would be more efficent (last gear ratio is much smaller, so car uses less fuel while cruising) then.
Ok, toggle 1 is your splitter and toggle 2 will be your range. The layout of Scania 12+2 is: upper left R1 & R2, lower left is your crawler gears C1 & C2, upper middle has no gear. lower middle is 1 low, 1 high, 4 low and 4 high. upper right is 2 low, 2 high, 5 low and 5 high. lower right is 3 low, 3 high, 6 low and 6 high.
Just like rl trucks you need bind a key (switch) for low/high gear change. First you use low 1-6, then press that button and you use high 1-6 (it will be 7-12). In game options - controller- activate your shifter then scroll down to shifter selection and use scs made 12 gear or download new pattern.
Yes. In game though they can serve an "off label" use, if you're just stuck on a corner/railing, dropping to C1 can usually scrape you through, with 0% damage due to the low speed, where 1st gear will stall out. Guess the recipients don't mind a bit of paint transfer/scratches, guess they just t-cut out anyway.
